The 5,500# beast needs paint, but almost runs 15s!

I am really new at making websites, just trying to start one.  This site is for my main hobby.  Cars, racing, building engines, tuning PCMs, and alot more.  My latest project is a daily driver turned halfway race car, rather van.  It is a 1983 Chevrolet G20 Conversion van that I rebuilt.  It has been converted to TBI and had a 215 HP 350 TBI crate engine put in it.  With me things don't stay stock long.  It was only a matter of time before it had a full exhaust, Holley Intake manifold, throttle body mods, open element air cleaner, PROM tuning, 1.6:1 roller rockers, rebuilt 700r4 with upgrades and a Yank 2,800 stall torque converter.  Putting the power to the ground is a Richmond 3.73 geared 8.5" 10 bolt with an Eaton Posi.  It really suprises alot of people in this area.   Considering it will run head-to-head with many of the new trucks, actually beating them to 60 in most cases, it is pretty impressive.  Then out on the highway with the cruise set at 75 mph, it will reap an impressive almost 20 MPG.   At 65 it will do 22! With around 360 ft/lbs of torque at a low 2,600 rpm,  it pulls 5,000+ lbs trailers with ease.

Its not fast, but it does alright.  16.08s @ 87 MPH with a 2.08 60' from a lowly TBI 350 tell the tale.

The 350 like it came from the crate.

Hope you enjoyed a little window into my hobby
